Located at 91 Fairmont Avenue, Noteworthy Sweets offers cookies, muffins, scones, cheesecakes, fresh fruit pies and cream pies. Follow them on Facebook to get their daily specials. Take a step back in time at Poky Dot Restaurant. This funky diner has been featured in Food Network, WV Living magazine and Restaurant Roadshow. You can find their mile-high meringue pies at 1111 Fairmont Avenue. Another transport in time is DJ’s 50s and 60s Diner. Visit them at 1181 Airport Road. Known for their incredible pizza, Colasessano’s Pizza, at 506 Pennsylvania Avenue and 9705 Mall Loop, serves creamy and decedent gelato. It’s what ice cream wishes it was! Want to tackle the largest cones in a tri-state area, stop by Dairy Crème Corner. Located at 187 Homewood Avenue in Fairmont, the Dairy Crème Corner gets four stars by all who eat there. You can also follow them on Facebook. The newest kid on the block is Pufferbelly’s Ice Cream Station, located at 1024 Fairmont Avenue. Stop in and enjoy a variety of pastries, milkshakes, malts, old-fashioned floats and homemade cookie ice cream sandwiches. Although not a sit-down restaurant, Country Club Bakery, located at 1211 Country Club Road, offers a wide assortment of Italian breads, rolls and cookies. True, these establishments offer a wide range of meal options….just remember, life’s too short – eat dessert first!!
