From I-79 take Exit 139, turn towards Pricketts Fort, and pass the Exxon. At stop sign turn left (south) on Rt. 73. Go past K & T Truck Stop (BP Station) and take first right. Go ¼ mile on Hoult Road, and then turn right.
Named after the 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist from Marion County. It has 25 rolling acres, four baseball fields, pavilion, playground, picnic area, tennis courts, basketball courts and restrooms. Also located here is the WV Miner’s Memorial. Take exit 132 off of I-79, then Rt. 250 N for approximately one mile; turn left onto Mary Lou Retton Drive and follow signs.

Scenic, pastoral Prickett's Fort State Park offers a variety of recreational opportunities to visitors. Picnic tables are available and various concerts and performing arts are presented in a 400-seat amphitheater during the summer; boating facilities including a launch ramp and trailer parking. The rapid falls of the Tygart River, known as Valley Falls, are found here in this 1,145-acre day use park. Enjoy sunning on the large flat rocks along the river’s edge.
