3 Ways to Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Marion County

dancing

It is believed that the Babylonians were the first to make New Year’s resolutions. And it would appear that people all over the world have been breaking them ever since.

The early Christians believed the first day of the new year should be spent reflecting on past mistakes and resolving to improve oneself in the new year.

But before we get to the “out with the old, in with the new”, we have some celebrating to do.

Here’s how we’ll be ringing in the New Year in Marion County:

Heston Farm Winery Hayloft Lounge

Heston Farm

The buffet dinner in the Hayloft Lounge begins at 9:00 pm. And the rocking part of the evening will be provided by Weary Space Wanderer – an improvisational, Appalachian roots rock band with a modern mountain twist.

And no New Year’s celebration is complete without a champagne toast at midnight.

Cost is $45 per person. Seating is limited so call the farm at 304.366.9463 for reservations.

Doors open at 5:00 pm and open stage runs from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Dinner is served from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Then it’s time to sit back and enjoy the music from 8:00 pm to midnight.

You might find it a little difficult to sit back with all those country tunes ringing through the night. So be sure to wear your comfy shoes so you can really kick up your heels on the dance floor.
