Marion County is the Middle of Everywhere

As time passes, brands change, and we are incredibly excited to share our new brand with you! Introducing Marion County, “The Middle of Everywhere.” This is the next chapter in our story, and we’re excited to tell it.

Plenty of research went into this new branding decision, too. We did focus groups to find out what people think of when they think of “Marion County,” and one common theme stood out – how centrally located we are. In fact, when Fairmont was first incorporated in 1820, its original name was Middletown! Not only do we have so much to share about Marion County, we’re also a great location for those looking to explore even more of the Mountain State. Since a large portion of the CVB’s funding comes from hotel/motel tax, (a tax collected when people stay overnight in a hotel, motel, cabin, or bed & breakfast in our county,) being close to other popular places is definitely an advantage.

The new branding features a fresh logo, website and travel guide, boasting bright colors and engaging information. We also have new rack cards and postcards that will be distributed throughout the state. Swing by the CVB to pick up some of our new materials!

With this new look, we’re even more excited about sharing everything Marion County and our region has to offer. Our area is thriving, boasting new local restaurants, craft breweries, live entertainment and more. Whether it be in our backyard or a short drive away, Marion’s convenient location allows for a central point to access our region’s best attractions.

It’s time to rediscover Marion County, the middle of everywhere.
