250th Lecture Series

August 2 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am

Free
18th century wooden fort surrounded by green grass and trees

Learn a little something at the 250th Lecture Series with Doug Wood. Doug will portray “Man Killer” Ostenaco, who was a prominent Cherokee military leader during the French and Indian War. When the Cherokees split during the American Revolution, Ostenaco was likely in his 70’s, moved with the war faction to Chickamauga siding with the British. To old to fight he none the less kept abreast of the war exploits of the young fighters. He died before the war ended.

Free and open to the public.
