5th Annual Oldies Dance and Taste of Marion County
December 6, 2013 @ 11:30 pm - December 7, 2013 @ 3:00 am
The United Way of Marion County 5th Annual Oldies Dance and Taste of Marion County is being held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Elks Lodge of Fairmont #294 located at 419 Adams Street, Fairmont, WV. Doors open at 6:30 PM with music provided by Jenna Won’t Sing from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. To accommodate various music genres recorded music will also feature Big Band, Bourbon Street and Jimmy Buffet during the evening’s festivities.
There will be auction opportunities, great food, super music plus good friends and fellowship to kick off the holiday season and help raise money for the agencies of the United Way of Marion County.
Mary Jo Thomas, Committee Chairman, noted that the price remains the same as in previous years. We can promise an enjoyable evening of good music for dancing and listening…plus good food…plus auction opportunities to help you start your holiday shopping as well as help those in need here at home. Oldies Dance is perhaps a misnomer as it pertains to music not age of participants. We are shaking the music up a bit this year with a new band…Jenna Won’t Sing. Come join us.
Individual tickets are $20.00 per person. Tickets may be purchased in Fairmont at Accessories by Marlena at Jack and Jill on Fairmont Avenue; The Firehouse Café on Adams Street; and at Rider Pharmacy on Merchant Street or from members of the Board of Directors of the United Way or from the United Way Office. For additional information or to make reservations, please call Mary Jo Thomas at 304.366.2912 or the United Way Office at 304.366.4550.
