Honor the WWII for Veterans Day

November 10, 2014 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

WW II  Veteran Mr. Asa Davison will discuss his experience during the biggest battle of all wars.

Edward (Ed)  Hargro will have an exhibit and presentation on the Tuskegee Airmen. His father, Col. George”Spanky” Roberts, was the first Black to command a racially mixed unit in the Air Force. Rev. D.D. Meighen will be show a short film on Col. Roberts.

Jack Oliver will also share the story  of Sgt. Harrison Summers from Rivesville.

There will be a display featuring a rare Gold Star Flag from the Battle of Normandy as well the recently donated flag by the last two members in Marion County Gold Star Mothers Organization.
