Julia Pierpont Celebration

Julia Augusta (Robertson) Pierpont, wife of Francis H. Pierpont is credited with organizing the first Decoration Day (now known as Memorial Day).
The public is invited to help us celebrate this extraordinary woman.
10:30 – 11:00 Meet at Gatherings, the Pierpont Church, on Monroe Street across from the former Fairmont Fire Department Period Music by We Three Plus One
11:00 Prayer – Rev. Richard Bowyer
11:03 Proclamation readings
11:05 Interpreters Art and Pam Dodds will portray Gov. Francis H. Pierpont and his wife Julia.
