Monongahfest Miner’s Run
August 19, 2017 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am
The Miner’s Run of 3.61 miles on the Rail Trail will begin at 8 a.m. The distance is in honor of the 361 miners who lost their lives on Dec. 6, 1907, when a massive explosion ripped through the Fairmont Coal Co.’s No. 6 and 8 mines at Monongah.
Race-day registration begins at 6:30 a.m. Registration can also be completed ahead of time on the website iplayoutside.com. The fee is $25 before Aug. 15 and $30 after that date. Participants will receive a T-shirt.
2017 Registration

- Early registration (before July 25) $25.
- After July 25 or day of event registration will be $30.
- Race Day Registration will be between 6:30am-7:30
- Each participant will receive a shirt for entering the event
- All race funds will go towards next years race.

There will be a top 3 in each age division, as well as Overall top 3 Male and Female runners.
Race Course
The course will be a out and back. Starting on Dirt Road and it turns onto Rails to Trails. It will finish on the Rails to Trail.
