Native American Appreciation Days

The Marion County Historical Society and Museum is sponsoring the annual observance of Native American Appreciation Days on Aug. 9 and 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year’s hosts will be John H. and Stormy Brasuk. The program will feature the history of the Native Americans of the Eastern Woodlands and West Virginia. There will be a large display of items used by the Native People and display Boards with examples of the history dating back 400 years. Stormy, who traces her heritage back to the Lenape (also known as the Delaware) Tribe, will also demonstrate hand beading work.
