Rachel Eddy is a native of West Virginia who grew up in a musical family steeped in Appalachian music and dance traditions. Rachel is known as a dynamic and powerful performer with her soulful singing and multi-instrumental finesse, including fiddle, banjo, guitar, and mandolin. Em Hammond grew up in southwest Virginia. With a background in percussion and a love of old-time music, Em strives to bring musicality and a sense of joy with an upright bass and clawhammer banjo. Rachel and Em bring a diverse mix of duets, ranging from old-time fiddle tunes to old country songs with stories of growing up in Appalachia.
