Charles Wesley’s sound is shaped by the time weathered hills and hollers of his home. Charles is a singer-songwriter born and raised in West Virginia with a unique voice and love of bluegrass.
Fairmont Arts and Short Story present the works of the late Hank Orr. A private family collection of watercolors, prints, drawings, and mixed media pieces will be featured in the loft of Short Story.
Before I Sleep is back in the Short Story Brewing taproom! If you've never seen BIS before, be prepared for a concentrated, highly infectious blast of pure indie rock joy. Show kicks off at 7 p.m., and it's free!
Before Hops on The Mon, come chill on the lawn! Short Story is hosting a lawn party with Hops on the Mon, which means great beer specials, great lawn games and lots of great giveaways! You might even win tickets to the second annual Hops on the Mon beer festival. WCLG will also be doing a live broadcast from our taproom. If it rains, there's plenty of room to party inside the brewery, so no excuses!
Ready, Steady, Run! is Rivesville's first ever 5K Run/Walk! This semi-hilly road course features the mighty Monongahela River and a scenic tour through Rivesville's various neighborhoods. The race will start and end at Rivesville City Hall and is open to all ages, runners and walkers.
Awards will be handed out in multiple age groups, with an extra special prize for fastest Rivesvillain! All participants will receive a t-shirt and great race-day discounts at Short Story Brewing. Short Story Brewing is not only passionate about making amazing beer. They're also dedicated to giving back to the community that supports them. All proceeds benefit the Rivesville School Foundation for scholarships and school improvements.
Remember to include Short Story Brewing in your candy route! Stop by after Rivesville's trick-or-treat (6-7:30 p.m.) for snacks, craft beer, spooky games and a costume competition. Prizes will be awarded for best overall costume and best beer-name themed costume. (It doesn't have to be one of our beers, but it probably wouldn't hurt... .)
