The 14th Annual Run to Read Half Marathon begins at 1 pm with race day registration at 11:30 am. The course is a 1% grade, starting on the paved MCPARC Trail and running through the Meredith tunnel before going back to Pricketts Fort. The second section will be run on the Mon River Trail, and the race will finish on this trail. (USATF sanctioned.)
The cost to participate is $30 by Oct. 13, $40 by Dec. 29 and $45 after Dec. 29.
All proceeds will benefit Literacy Volunteers of Marion County (a United Way agency), which provides free tutoring to adults and children in basic reading, math, ESL (English as a second language) and GED preparation.

Ready, Steady, Run! is Rivesville's first ever 5K Run/Walk! This semi-hilly road course features the mighty Monongahela River and a scenic tour through Rivesville's various neighborhoods. The race will start and end at Rivesville City Hall and is open to all ages, runners and walkers.
Awards will be handed out in multiple age groups, with an extra special prize for fastest Rivesvillain! All participants will receive a t-shirt and great race-day discounts at Short Story Brewing. Short Story Brewing is not only passionate about making amazing beer. They're also dedicated to giving back to the community that supports them. All proceeds benefit the Rivesville School Foundation for scholarships and school improvements.
