Run to Read Half Marathon

Pricketts Fort 88 State Park Road, Fairmont, WV, United States

The 14th Annual Run to Read Half Marathon begins at 1 pm with race day registration at 11:30 am. The course is a 1% grade, starting on the paved MCPARC Trail and running through the Meredith tunnel before going back to Pricketts Fort. The second section will be run on the Mon River Trail, and the race will finish on this trail. (USATF sanctioned.)
The cost to participate is $30 by Oct. 13, $40 by Dec. 29 and $45 after Dec. 29.
All proceeds will benefit Literacy Volunteers of Marion County (a United Way agency), which provides free tutoring to adults and children in basic reading, math, ESL (English as a second language) and GED preparation.

Augusta County Militia

Kids’ Naturalist Program

Bring the kids to the park and let them discover the wonders of nature, everything from bugs and flowers to birds and trees. Your child will have fun while they learn!
