WV Three Rivers Festival
The annual West Virginia Three Rivers Festival is back this year on May
26-28 at Palatine Park! This three-day festival features live entertainment,
a pepperoni roll eating contest and amateur baking contest, carnival rides, games, a parade and fireworks.

Events At Pricketts Fort
Don’t miss all of Pricketts Fort’s spring events! Celebrate the joys of spring at Pricketts Fort Annual Birdwalks. The staff of the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources will lead these nature walks. Tour the fort and smell food cooking over an open hearth at the Hearth Cooking Demo on May 21. Bring the kids to Colonial Kids Day, where they can experience life in the 18th century. Activities include daily chores in the fort, life in the militia, colonial children’s games and crafts. Lastly, watch some of the best blacksmiths in the area apply their skills at the Appalachian Blacksmith Association Hammer-In on June 11.

Forks of the Buffalo BBQ
Get ready for the ultimate barbecue competition! Head to the Mannington Fair Grounds on May 20-22 for the Forks of the Buffalo BBQ Throwdown. The winner of this KCBS Sanctioned Event will get the chance to represent West Virginia at the Jack Daniels Worldwide Invitational BBQ Championship. The weekend includes a cooking competition, queen’s pageant and car cruise-in.

Annual Canoe Race
Calling all kayak and canoe enthusiasts! The Annual Great Buffalo Canoe Race is back this year on
May 7! Registration starts at 8 a.m.
at Hough Park and the race begins at 9 a.m. Following the race, a small reception will be held at the Farmington Fire Department.

Valley Falls EHQ Race
Get ready to test your endurance at the EHQ Valley Falls 6 & 12 Hour Race! The race terrain consists of gravel service roads, single track trails, rocky climbs, rolling hills and, of course, the beautiful Valley Falls. Visit our website for a full breakdown of the course.

Blissful Yoga Festival
Treat yourself to a blissful afternoon of yoga, mindfulness and community at the Blissful Yoga Festival on June 5. The festival will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. at Palatine Park, and will feature kids yoga, adult classes, live music, local artists and vendors. No prior experience is required!
