Built in 1912, the former home to the county sheriff and now serves as a museum featuring exhibits related to the state's past such as the compass used to survey present-day West Virginia. Docent-led tours of the museum and old jail are available. Their small gift shop features books written by local authors, glassware, and Marion County playing cards. Special events are held throughout the year.
