Connector Art
March 28, 2014
The Connector Art Gallery, presents The Connection, a collection of art.
Marion County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Marion County Parks and Recreation is hosting The Connector Art Gallery’s first gallery showing, The Connection.
This art gallery serves to connect art and the community through aesthetics, conversation(with the artists themselves), and business.
Art galleries, exhibits, museums, sculptures, watercolors— where does it end? Everyone enjoys this of course, staring at something pretty or interesting, difficult to create. But, haven’t these art forms— postmodern appropriation, abstract, digital, recontextualism— gone too far?
Or, is it just far enough?
Decide for yourselves! Take a peek:
Glenn Hess– art involves your fears, dark and thought provoking
Paige Belote– art involves pattern and illusion, movement and stagnation
Aaron Williams– art involves your brain, spatial reasoning and optic rewiring
Larry Whittington– art involves questioning, why and what could it mean
Not only will there be many different types of art to view, but it is also for sale until April 30. So get your eyeballs and your wallet ready; you don’t want to miss this!
March 29: Grand gallery opens (3 – 8 pm)
The Gallery will remain open March 31 – April 30, Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Works of art will be for sale with proceeds benefiting the Arts in Park series.
And for those of a less refined visual palette, do you need something pleasing to the eye, but maybe even more aesthetically understandable?
