Disc Golf for Women @ Morris Park
April 5, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Golfers will gather at Pavilion 2 at 5:30 pm (big pavilion to the left as you enter park).
You can park in the circle at the entrance and walk over, or drive around the circle and park right in front of Pavilion 2.
Tee off 5:45 pm.
Beginners of ALL AGES and levels of fitness are ENCOURAGED to attend and are WELCOME!
There will be some seasoned women players with us who can demonstrate and provide tips.
There will be LOTS of beginners … so don’t let that get in your way!
We will play what is known as “The Seth Burton” or “Yellow Course”. This is the upper, gentler course that you can see from the road.
No Disc, No Problem! There will be some “loaner” discs available if you want to give the sport a try…
There will also be discs available to purchase. Discs range in price from $10 to $20.
It’s nice to start with a driver and a putter …you can expand your “bag” as time goes on. Some carry their discs to start or the discs can be slipped in a small canvass bag or small back sack. You may want to bring some water and a black sharpie to put your name and phone number in a new disc.
All proceeds from the discs go to course improvement and maintenance.
There is no fee to play disc golf, unless you are playing a tournament.
