Veterans Day Parade

The Marion County Veterans Council is once again sponsoring the annual Fairmont Veterans Day Parade. Lineup begins at 11 a.m. at Palatine Park, with the parade starting at 1 p.m.
A ceremony will be held at Veterans Square following the parade, with a few words from Parade Chaplain Robert Allan Copenhaver of Fairmont’s Baptist Temple and Marion County Veterans Council Commander Ed Kirby. The ceremony will include a 21-gun salute, laying of wreaths and an additional performance by the East Fairmont High School Busy Bee Band and the Honey Bees.
