Uniquely situated between Morgantown and Clarksburg, Marion County is the Middle of Everywhere! With flavorful food, adventurous recreational options, and more breathtaking views than you can count, Marion County has something for everywhere. The NEW Murals of Marion County Geo-Trail is designed to showcase the local art, history, and heritage that makes this area great! Nine letterbox hybrid caches have been placed in key points of interest around the county. Visit all nine stops and earn a special 2022 Trackable Geocoin!
This is our third Geo-Trail here in Marion County and we are excited to offer a completely new and exciting experience for new and seasoned cachers alike. Nine letterbox hybrid geocaches will serve as your guide to murals and other pieces of art around the area that showcase all that Marion County has to offer. This will be a shorter trail than in years prior, but a fun challenge nonetheless. Primarily centered in downtown Fairmont, you’ll need to first answer a few simple questions about the mural then use your surroundings to follow clues to the final geocache location.
Each geocache will contain a custom stamp that you can use on your passport. Once you’ve collected all nine stamps, return to the visitor center to claim your limited edition 2022 Murals of Marion County Geocoin! Only 150 coins will be minted for this trail so supplies are limited! (Coins can be mailed upon special request; email a copy of your passport to info@MarionCVB.com)
