Rambling Root has partnered with Pet Helpers and Hearts of Gold to host an adoption day and a fundraiser to support their very own service puppy! Enjoy human Oktoberfest beers on draft and a special Dogtoberfest beer just for our four-legged friends. Grilled hot dogs will be available for purchase for any species. And stick around to hear the winner of the dog-naming contest!

Enjoy a blissful afternoon of yoga, live music, sound healing, reiki, hula hoop, aerial yoga, kids yoga, stand up paddle board demos, local shopping and healthy snacks. This event is free and open to the public! BYOYM: Bring your own yoga mat. Water will be provided but bring a reusable water bottle.

Treat yourself to an evening of performances by our area's finest marching bands at Fairmont Senior's Band Spectacular. Enjoy a tradition that's been going on for more than half a century! Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Performances begin at 5:30 p.m. Tickets at the gate are $7 for adults; $5 for students; and children under 5 are free. (Tickets available in advance at Rider Pharmacy and Craft Connection for $5 - beginning Aug. 22.)

Kids’ Naturalist Program

Bring the kids to the park and let them discover the wonders of nature, everything from bugs and flowers to birds and trees. Your child will have fun while they learn! This program is for children ages 10 to 13. The program is free, but children must be registered. To do so, go to www.prickettsfort.org/register or call the office at 304-363-3030. (Limit: 25 students.)
