The 14th Annual Run to Read Half Marathon begins at 1 pm with race day registration at 11:30 am. The second section will be run on the Mon River Trail, and the race will finish on this trail. (USATF sanctioned.)
The cost to participate is $30 by Oct. 13, $40 by Dec. 29 and $45 after Dec. 29.
All proceeds will benefit Literacy Volunteers of Marion County (a United Way agency), which provides free tutoring to adults and children in basic reading, math, ESL (English as a second language) and GED preparation.
